Excellent Battery pack, May 30, 2013
    By

I received this battery pack today 5/30/13, and i really like it, especially compared to some of EasyAccs other batteries. This one, much like on mophie battery packs, and the nexus 4, has soft touch around the side, which is either in silver, or orange, depending on which you choose. The yellow, is more like a creamsicle color, just be aware of that when ordering. It arrived fully charged and with a micro-USB cord, as well as an apple 30 pin cord. Generic lightning cables for the iphone 5, ipad mini can be had on amazon for about $2 with free shipping. This battery pack does seem a little large for 10,000mAh, compared to the anker astro 3e and the ravpower 10400mAh dynamo on the go. That being said, it is entirely possible that this has more capacity than 10000mAh and i will test its charging capabilities, here they are.
4 lights on- charge ipad mini (4400mah) from 7% to 100%, 2 lights are left.
    2 lights on, nexus 4 (2100mah) from 28% to 100%
    2 light on nexus 4 from 34% to 100% 1 light left.
1 light on nexus 4 from 32% to 67% and it is dead.
The total charge used by these devices was the following
    4092mah for the iPad mini
    1512mah for 1st nexus charge
    1386mah for second nexus charge
    735mah for third nexus charge
Total charge = 7725mAh= 77.2% efficiency which is pretty good, considering about 20% of energy is lost in voltage conversion.
These devices were charged while on so actual capacity may be about 5-600mAh larger.

DISCLAIMER- I received this product in exchange for an HONEST review from the manufacturer.

Holds a lot of charge, and charges multiple devices, January 29, 2014
    Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
I love that this will charge a phone a lot of times, and do so quickly. The 2 amp output will charge my phone faster than a wall charger, and while this is big, (about 3 decks of cards) it isn’t a size that doesn’t fit in my jacket pocket so I take it on the plane so I can use my phone even on 4 hour flights. (to play games or such)

PLEASE NOTE: The manufacturer/seller of this product has switched the product on this Amazon page. The product that I originally reviewed is no longer being sold on this page and has been replaced by a completely different product. In my opinion, this is very misleading to the buyer because it potentially takes advantage of positive reviews of a product they are not actually buying. It also hurts reviewers because their reviews no longer make sense and result in unwarranted unhelpful votes due to the confusion this causes. This is true of many other reviews on this product so be aware and read the reviews closely before you rely on them for your purchase. My rating has been reduced to highlight this seller practice as I have not reviewed the product that my review is currently being used for.

    [ORIGINAL REVIEW – 5 STARS]

I was provided a EasyAcc 15000mAh Power Bank for testing and review and was asked only to give my honest review, so this is what I found.

Look: The product came in a professional looking box with product information on it. Inside the box was the power bank encased in a form fitting clear plastic holder with clear plastic protective sheets over the top and bottom it to protect it. It also had a small instruction manual that was very well put together with easy to follow pictures and instructions, a USB cable with a large number of interchangeable connectors and a carrying bag. Because of the large capacity, the battery is pretty big, but still fairly flat instead of “chunky” making it easy to slip into a briefcase or a bag. The product looks and feels solid with a black plastic housing and a silver metal band around the sides. It has one power button, four blue lights that indicate charge level, a micro USB input for charging the Power Bank, three USB Outputs with varying amperage (2 Amp, 1 Amp & 0.5 Amp), and one DC output for charging some specific devices. This power bank really covers just about anything it seems.

Use and Performance: It came with some charge to it so I plugged it into my computer and charged it until it was full. The four blue lights stopped blinking and stayed on indicating that the Power Bank was full. After it was full I did some testing.

Test #1: Since this is such a large capacity power bank, I decided to do a double device charge test first. I took my partially depleted 2nd Gen iPad that had 60% battery left and my partially depleted iPhone 5 that had 70% battery left and plugged them in. The iPad went into the 2 Amp USB plug and the iPhone went into the 1 Amp USB Plug. I checked it fairly often and got the following readings.

    Starting Point = iPad 60% / iPhone 70%
    After 20 Minutes = iPad 64% / iPhone 81%
    After 40 Minutes = iPad 69% / iPhone 91%
    After 60 Minutes = iPad 73% / iPhone 99%
After 80 Minutes = iPad 78% / iPhone Full Charge
After 110 Minutes = iPad 85% / iPhone Full Charge

The Power Bank performed very well charging a tablet and a phone at the same time. The speeds were a little slower than charging them individually, but overall, very good.

Test #2: Since I didn’t get the typical iPhone charging speeds that I am used to in the double test, the next day I took the Power Bank (without recharging it) and plugged in my half way depleted iPhone 5 that had 50% charge remaining into the 2 Amp USB port by itself. I checked it every 10 minutes or so and got the following readings.

    Starting Point = 50% Charge
    After 20 Minutes = 70% Charge
    After 40 Minutes = 88% Charge
    After 60 Minutes = 96% Charge
After 83 Minutes = Full Charge

Overall, great results. The average for the other power banks I have tested has been and an increase of about 1% per minute and this power bank, when charging my iPhone 5 by itself, was producing equivalent results. In my experience, all power banks experience a slow-down when a device gets around 90% capacity so this result is exactly as expected. The Power Bank easily charged a my iPhone 5 without any problem at great speeds and the three remaining illuminated indicator lights showed that it still had plenty of juice for several more charges. Remember, I didn’t recharge it after the previous iPad/iPhone double charge test, so this power bank has a lot of capacity.

Conclusion: Overall, the EasyAcc 15000mAh Power Bank worked great during my initial tests and usage. The performance was great and in-line with competing products that I have tested. The product has a very large capacity in a manageable, flat size and shape, making it easy to transport in a bag or briefcase. It looks and feels very solid and gives you the option of charging 3 devices at one time. I can see that the large capacity of this power bank would be an excellent option for longer travel use such as a long plane trip or other travel where you do not have access to a power plug for extended periods…
